FUN IDEA FOR OCTOBER 2020 by WhoFlicksPryme Editors
STAY AT HOME HALLOWEEN! We'll do the real thing next year! (We Hope!) Chances are, if you live in the United States of America, your children won't be doing any trick-or-treating this Halloween due to the coronavirus pandemic. Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, so you'll more than likely be at home with the kids that night. What can you do to keep yourselves from going completely "Bat-Poop" crazy? We recommend having a drink of your favorite alcoholic beverage (not for the kids, of course.) For the kids, we recommend you do something "Halloween-ish" with them. Here are a few simple suggestions. Make Caramel Apples! Yes, Caramel Apples. They're a perfect Halloween treat. Good for you too. If you're not up to the task of eating a sticky caramel apple off of the stick, try apple slices dipped in caramel! The good folks at Allrecipes.com have an excellent caramel apple recipe to HERE.

Bake Halloween cookies! Sure, you can whip up a mix if you'd like. But it doesn't get any easier than "Slice and Bake" Hey! They should pay us for that catchphrase! Na, they've probably already used it. Anyhow, nothing makes the kitchen smell better than fresh baked cookies. We love the Halloween slice and bake pumpkin sugar cookies. Easy to make, minimal cleanup, and the kids will love them. Pick up some Pillsbury Ready To Bake Pumpkin Shape Sugar Cookies at Target or your local grocery store today!
Lastly, it's Saturday Night. Sure, you could catch "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" if you'd like. We're sure it will be airing early that evening (check your local listings.) But later, why not get the gang together with some Halloween snacks, sit down and watch something scary! We've got four great recommendations for you on our home page this month, but feel free to choose something to your liking. Enjoy.
