READ IT BEFORE THE MOVIE RELEASE

We don't know the expected release dates for all of the movies or series that will be based on these books, we just know they're either in development, or in production.  However we have read these books and enjoyed them very much. We look forward to seeing how they are adapted to film.

"Station Eleven" by Emily St. John Mandel. (2015 Vintage; Reprint edition)
  • An excellent postapocolyptic drama, much more than you would expect! Read this book soon! Paramount TV has created a mini-series of this novel which will be available on HBO/Max on December 16th 2021.

"The Boys in the Boat" by Daniel James Brown. (2014 Penguin Books)
  • The story of nine Americans and their epic quest for gold at the 1936 Olympics. "The Boys in the Boat" is A MUST READ!

"How To Stop Time" by Matt Haig. (2017 Canongate; Main edition).
  • Matt Haig is one of our favorite authors. This book is an excellent read! It tells the tale of a man trapped in time due to a rare genetic condition which causes very slow aging. It's love, history, and adventure all in one! READ THIS BOOK!

"The Last Days of Night" by Graham Moore. (2016 Random House).
  • This historical fiction of the battle between Westinghouse and Edison is brilliant! Unfortunately, the book was never officially adapted for the screen. A film that follows the historical events of the fight over the use of AC vs. DC electric current in the United States during the later years of the 19th Century, named "The Current War" was released in 2017. We recommend reading "The Last Days of Night" instead.

"The Passage" by Justin Cronin. (2010 Random House). Book one of a three book series, books two and three are: "The Twelve" (2012 Random House), and "City of Mirrors" (2016 Random House)
  • This is an epic journey! A fantastic story that takes place over a thousand years! Cronin's young daughter challenged him to write a story about a girl who saves the world.  Cronin has done that and so much more.  The TV series premiered on Fox in January of 2019 and was canceled in May of that same year.  We only recommend the shows we like. Do yourself a favor and READ THESE BOOKS instead! Amazon or Hulu? Where were you guys on that one? Maybe you can buy the rights now and do it the way it should have been done! Wake up!

"The Rosie Project" by Graeme Simsion. (2014 Simon & Schuster) Book one of a two book series. The second book is: "The Rosie Effect" (2015 Simon & Schuster)
  • Brilliant, intelligent comedy, and a fantastic love story! You will laugh out loud. We've heard the film is expected in May of 2019. We sure hope Hollywood doesn't butcher it! READ THIS BOOK!
